Q. Favorite spot for a coffee meeting? The Starbucks at 523 King Street in Old Town. It's right by the water and has great outdoor seating.

Q. Describe one way a skill you learned in a previous job has helped you in your new job. Managing a newsroom of rowdy, eager journalists as an editor helped me develop the time management, delegation and leadership skills that have been critical in starting my own business and leading interns and employees.

Q. Job advice in three words? Waiting means forgetting.

Q. How are you (or your company, org, nonprofit) currently bridging the gap between politics and tech? I've taken my skills from political journalism and applied them to an area that's sorely lacking in the gaming industry: Aggregation coverage. There's far too much news breaking at all hours to keep up with, and being able to know what is and is not crucial helps me provide my gaming readers with the most important news of the day.

Gaming journalism is in its infancy, and I'm taking my knowledge of the mature political journalism sphere and bringing it over to gaming to reinforce best practices.

Q. Embarrassing work moment? Realizing just how atrociously bad my basic math skills are while my business partner walked me through our business model.

Q. Most underrated virtue in an employee? Willingness to help.

Q. Best advice you've received? Learn what it's like to be at the bottom of a dogpile.

Q. How many hours of sleep do you get? Seven to eight.
